April 2021 – Russian American History Month
April 12 – International Day of Human Space Flight.

On April 12, 2021, the whole world will celebrate the 60th anniversary since the first human was launched into space; Yuri Gagarin – citizen of the Soviet Union – whose 108 minutes in space opened an epoch of cosmic human-operated space flights.

This day celebrates the triumphs of all who work in the space industry.

On April 7, 2011, at the initiative of Russia, a special resolution was adopted to name April 12 the International Day of Human Space Flight. Since then, it has been celebrated yearly. The resolution of the General Assembly (UN № A/RES/65/271) was supported by more than 60 countries.
