February 23, 2008: Women’s Leadership Colloquia with International House, Columbia University

Young women from around the world, hosted by International House at Columbia University come together at a RACH-C Salon to explore the experiences of Russian woman leaders and compare and share their own experiences in finding their own place, in a world where men still dominate.


 February 29, 2008: “Ms. Gulag”

Russian Salon screening the documentary film by Irina Vodar “Ms. Gulag”
This Salon focused on the work of documentary maker Irina Vodar who incredibly managed to gain permission from the Russian government to interview and film women imprisoned in one of today’s Russian Prisons.


 March 14, 2008: “Children’s Role in Preserving Heritage.”

December 2, 2008: “War and Peace”

Russian Salon to meet Richars Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky the translators of a new editon of “War and Peace” by Leo Tolstoy.
